Tourism Tax Notice

Malaysia is currently in the process of implementing a TOURISM TAX of RM20.00 for hotel room rates on a per room per night basis.The implementation date is supposedly earmarked for 1st August 2017 however may be subject to change.

Please be informed that SHOULD the above mentioned tax be enforced by Malaysian law at a confirmed date, RM20.00 per room per night will be imposed.This is in addition to the existing 10% Service Charge and prevailing Goods & Services Tax (GST).
